As we publish the Dunard Centre’s 2024-25 Annual Report, we’re reflecting on a productive year of great progress

Construction of the Dunard Centre – Edinburgh’s first purpose‑built concert hall in more than 100 years – is well underway. Tucked behind the historic RBS branch at St Andrew Square, our construction site has been transformed into a hive of daily activity since we broke ground back in December, giving us an early glimpse of all the vibrant, bustling energy that will animate this space in four years’ time.
As we publish our 2024-25 Annual Report, we’re reflecting on a fulfilling, productive year of activity that has helped get us to this milestone.
This was a year of laying strong foundations – and a significant part of that involved asking questions, and listening to the answers. We commissioned a new Economic and Social Impact Report to better understand the meaningful, long‑lasting benefits the Dunard Centre will bring to Edinburgh and beyond. We shared the first snapshot of our evolving engagement strategy, setting out how we’ll widen access to the arts for people of all ages and stages, and how these plans map to societal challenges. And, through a Scotland-wide public poll, we learned more about what our future audiences want from a venue designed for – and rooted in – its local community.
As construction continues across 2026, we’ll be continuing to shape, test and refine our vision for this ‘Hall for All’, and we’re excited to share more about exactly what this means – for individuals, for artists, for the city, and for music.
