Dunard Centre announces partnership with London's Wigmore Hall
The prestigious partnership is one of a series of academic and artistic collaborations announced today by the globally-renowned venue
25 March 2026
We’re thrilled to announce a new partnership between the Dunard Centre and London’s Wigmore Hall.
The collaboration is one of a series of unprecedented academic and artistic partnerships to be launched by the globally-renowned Wigmore Hall in celebration of their 125th anniversary. With the aim of building musical bridges both on and off stage, this ambitious initiative will foster artistic exchanges, shared programming and additional performance opportunities for young artists.
The partnership will see Wigmore Hall Director John Gilhooly leading the Dunard Centre’s new artistic advisory committee, as well as a range of shared programming and commissioning initiatives.
Dunard Centre Chief Executive, Jo Buckley, said:
“Wigmore Hall is globally recognised as a beacon of artistic excellence, with an adventurous programme that showcases the very pinnacle of live performance and demonstrates a deep commitment to nurturing the next generation. We share their belief in the transformative power of live music, and as we build a new, twenty-first century concert hall in the heart of Edinburgh, we are thrilled to also be building a partnership with Wigmore Hall that has these shared values at its heart. John Gilhooly’s expert leadership will be the bridge between the two, overseeing a new artistic advisory committee that will ensure that our work both on and off the stage is as world-class as the facilities themselves.”
The announcement of this exciting series of partnerships was made by Wigmore Hall during a live streamed event to mark the launch of their 2026/27 season. Featuring special performances from Marianne Crebassa and Joseph Middleton, and the Takács Quartet and available to view on demand.
